**Pre-apprenticeship Welding & NCCER Welding  

Are you interested in a career in the welding field?

Join us at ECTEC to explore your options. The Career Center Welding Program builds students welding knowledge and skills and exposes students to as many aspects of the welding industry as possible. For instance, industry leaders visit with students to provide their perspectives, higher education training facilities present continuing education opportunities, and students make educational outreach visits to businesses. 

*Students who enroll in the NCCER Welding Program and earn dual credit have the opportunity of earning a Technical Degree or Associate of Applied Science Technical Studies in Welding in enrolled in the Fast Forward Program. 

*Students who enroll in the Pre-apprenticeship Welding and complete the Fast Forward Pre-apprenticeship Welder Program may qualify for an internship in Welding

  • Carpenters International Training Fund Career Connections Levels I-III (CITF)

  • NCCER Welding I

  • NCCER Welding II

Open to grades 9-12 (Fast Forward students, as well as Juniors and Seniors, have priority)-NCCER requires NCCER Core to enter the program; students may enroll in WorkPlace Safety first.
